You seem to misunderstand.
The storms increase in intensity as the water temperature increases. It means any storms are likely to be huge since we are already way above normal.
Since we have record-breaking water temperatures NOW, we will likely see record-breaking storms — bigger than Typhoon Tip. Just because the storms do not reach the size of a hypercane does not mean they won’t be as devastating.
We likely won’t survive long enough to see 500 mph winds having been wiped out before then.
Anything above 200 mph winds will destroy everything in its path. Anything bigger than Tip will likely cause such widespread destruction that millions will die, depending on where it lands. This will disrupt supplies chains worldwide.
Once a superstorm hits, coastlines will be ravaged, ports destroyed, entire cities wiped out, massive flooding will result and rebuilding may be impossible.
It doesn’t matter if we ever get a hypercane. We are fucked now.
