The pressing problems of the West are the result of a hidden and larger crisis. It is not partisan politics, propaganda, or ambition that is ruining the world.

Although we recognize the issue, we ignore it on a personal and public level. There is no national dialogue, and the media is strangely silent on the subject.

A considerable number of our most successful business and political leaders are psychopaths.

This is not dramatic hyperbole, but fact backed up by research. Society rewards these monsters while they leave misery in their wake. The bullies easily influence the weak of mind. Our culture excuses narcissism and celebrates ruthlessness while ignoring the devastation this brand of mental disorder wreaks on society.

Major crises are linked to psychopathy

If we had a poll for the worst crisis facing humanity, no doubt climate collapse would top the list. It is hard to ignore wildfires turning the sky orange and smoke choking our lungs. Scientists warn of disappearing arctic ice and rising sea levels.
