Well, I would much rather deal with a spouse who was obese rather than had dementia, wouldn’t you? A large scale study by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine found increased weight was protective and underweight had a 34% higher chance of dementia as they age than those with a BMI of 20 to those below 25.
