I edited your article to show how I thought you could improve your engagement. Free of charge. I believe with the new edit and adding tags for politics, it will get curated. I am not sure why you wont try it -- if you truly want an answer.

I have had no problems getting my stuff in publications or featured using this approach. But hey, my advice is shit because you said so.

I explained what I thought was the problem. I may not be correct, but I gave it my best shot. I also gave you a free and painless way to test it. Hell, you could have tried it just to be polite. I was willing to tweet it to 4k followers and ask them to compare the two articles.

Let me put it another way. You’re like the guy who is one step above homeless who thinks he is such a catch he doesn’t have to bathe or dress decent, then complains women won’t date him. When someone tells him the problem, he wants to complain about reality.

Your writing is not good enough to draw any sort of amazing attention on its own. Neither is mine. My biggest Medium piece has only 10k views.

I have read only one writer on Medium who was talented enough to gain massive followers by the quality of his writing. One.

So your only other choice is to churn out Pulitzer prize winning work.
