…tead of the so-called 'old', suppose the target of your contempt had been 'gays' or' transsexuals'? There would have been howls of indignation from your very generation - and you, as the author of the piece, would have been cancelled on the spot by the very ones (your own peers) who shout the loudest about fairness and inclusivity.
And to add to Pam's comment below about your title, exactly what are you calling 'old'?
