Let’s peel away another layer. Not only is it likely we are in a computer simulation, but it is patterned after a “base reality” very similar and probably used as a frame of reference.

In other words, it is highly likely we are a simulation existing in another simulation. If we are patterned after a creator or a society that made the simulation, then it only makes sense that our simulation would eventually evolve to create its own simulation. . . patterned after our own “base reality.”

What will really mess you up is considering what would we do if our own simulation became sufficiently advanced to start looking for the creator, only to realize that they were in another simulation that could have infinite levels.
