The Mayor of Las Vegas, Carolyn Goodman, will be long remembered as one of the worst civic leaders in this pandemic. Her performance on a major news program was so cringe-worthy that even Anderson Cooper lost his shit over her comments. Goodman volunteered Vegas to receive a placebo instead of the vaccine, so they could act as some kind of “control group.” After repeated calls to open up businesses, her guidelines for social distancing boiled down to this:
