I think Meri has secrets.

Remember when she divorced Kody so Robyn could marry him? She gave some lame excuse about the kids being adopted. But realize that Utah isn’t a community property state but Nevada is and that is where they were living.

I think Meri was aware that Kody had massive debt from Robyn and didn’t want to be legally liable for it. She was also free to walk away with all her own money if she was left the family. Meri has more assets than the other wives.

The only whole embracing Robyn? She was never on good terms with Janelle and Christine, their kids hated her. If she was going to have any story arc, it would have to be with Robyn and Kody. Plus, Kody complained about Janelle and Christine being mean to Robyn, and this was a way for Meri to throw fuel on the fire. I think she is close to Robyn’s kids because the rest of the family shuns her.

I don’t think Meri tips her hand. There is a scene where Robyn is talking about Christine leaving Kody, rather gossipy, and you can see the mask drop and a flash of what looks like anger. Meri basically tells Robyn that Kody and Christine’s relationship is none of their business. You get the impression that Meri realizes that Robyn probably interfered in her marriage.

Meri already has one book about the family, I would not be shocked if she has been compiling a tell-all.

I think Meri is shrewd. I think Robyn is autistic and manipulates Kody. I don’t think she likes him as much as she likes the idea of polygamy that guarantees her “friends” in the form of sister wives. I think Christine needs a lot of attention and should never gotten into polygamy. I think Janelle is either asexual, gay or bi. I think Meri might be a lesbian as well.

Your opinion?
