Forget the science, let’s do this instead

The way we have been addressing climate change is all wrong.

For over 40 years, environmental scientists have been warning about the looming end of the world.

In the 1970s, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) told us we were on a path of self-destruction with the anticipated fall of society to occur sometime in 2040 — and that was without the foresight of a raging plague, vast dead zones in the planet’s oceans, or impending climate collapse. Other papers tell of a “near- to mid-term existential threat to human civilization."

Pull any thread, the tapestry unravels, leaving nothing but the bare strands of bleakness for the future of humanity. The question is not if it will all collapse, or the amount of suffering we will endure, but how soon all of it will come crashing down.

We know we are doomed to extinction but humans can’t be bothered to give a shit.
